Monday, August 8th, 2033: The Medicine Hat Monarchs will be without the services of Stephen Haworth for 6 weeks after an incident in a game against the Winnipeg Warriors. The 20-year-old third baseman was injured while running the bases and suffered a strained hamstring.
Thus far this season Haworth has hit .281 with 15 home runs, 72 RBIs and scored 51 times. |
 | Bone Pilers Lose Isaac Thorburn
Monday, August 8th, 2033: The Regina Bone Pilers got some bad news when the team learned that Isaac Thorburn was likely to be out for 3-4 weeks after he injured himself running the bases in today's game against the Richmond Hill Moonshots. A round of tests by the team doctors revealed the injury to be a strained groin muscle. Upon learning of their diagnosis, the Regina manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Isaac is back in action."
In his 2033 season totals, Thorburn has 17 home runs, .308 BA, .400 OBP, 87 RBIs and 77 runs scored. |

Monday, August 8th, 2033: Ross Henry has the tools to stick in this league for many years. The 24-year-old center fielder of the British Columbia Eagles had a pretty fair bat in the Western League over the past seven days and won the Player of the Week honors.
Henry batted .500 with 11 hits in 22 at-bats, 2 home runs and 8 RBIs.
Currently Henry is hitting .275 and has collected 27 home runs, 91 RBIs and scored 63 times, while playing in 111 games. |
