Monday, September 5th, 2033: James Johnson demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the Western League Player of the Week Award.
The Saskatoon second baseman wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .519 average (14-27) with 1 home run and 3 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor.
Presently Johnson is batting .332 and has collected 8 home runs, 64 RBIs, .384 OBP and scored 76 runs. |

Monday, September 5th, 2033: William Bewley did nothing to hurt his value as an upcoming free agent last week, making contact with the ball at every opportunity and reeling in the Eastern League Player of the Week Award.
The third baseman hit .419 for the Windigos, recording 13 hits in 31 at-bats, 1 home run, 11 RBIs and 9 runs scored.
Bewley on the season is hitting .294 with 30 home runs. His stats include 115 RBIs and 90 runs scored. |

Sunday, September 4th, 2033: A pitcher's main job is to keep the opposition off the scoreboard and Thunder Bay pitcher Terry Shannon did just that today in a 12-0 victory over the Medicine Hat Monarchs at The Harem of Medicine Hat. He gave up no runs in his start, permitted 3 hits and had 3 strikeouts.
For this year Shannon has chalked up 13 wins and 6 losses in 27 starts with 156 strikeouts in 188 innings and a 4.16 ERA. |
