 | 5-Hit Blitz by Seymour Saturday, July 2nd, 2039: It doesn't happen very often, but it happened for Tim Seymour -- a 5-hit day. He went on a rampage at Thunder Field and paced the Lightning to a 10-6 win over the Richmond Hill Moonshots.
After his dynamite batting performance the Thunder Bay first baseman told the press, "I just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid some great dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book.
Tim Seymour hit a solo-shot off Kurt Proctor in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Gilbert Theriault in the 7th.
To date, Seymour has collected 113 hits for a .334 average. He has posted 19 home runs, scored 55 runs and driven in 65 runs. | |
