 | Compton Chosen #1 Player Monday, August 8th, 2033: One of the league's most exciting young players, Ron Compton of the PEI Islanders earned himself Eastern League Player of the Week honors with a standout performance in last week's games. For the week the 24-year-old designated hitter had a lofty .458 average (11-24), collecting 4 home runs, 10 RBIs and 5 runs scored. This season Compton has hit at a .256 clip with 71 RBIs, 20 home runs and 56 runs scored. |
