Sunday, August 11th, 2041: The quest for the CBL Double A Round 3 championship gets underway today. The regular season is now over and the so-called "second season" begins. For fan and player alike this is the sweetest part of the season -- the Round 1. The baseball experts have made their predictions, but teams will do it or die on the diamond. The best team doesn't always win -- sometimes it's the lucky team that is fated to win the crown -- sometimes it's the team that gets hot late in the season that wins -- and sometimes talent wins out and takes the glory. The winner will be one of these teams:
Miramichi Cyclones versus Gander Bengals, Longueuil Kamikazes versus Mount Peral Peril, Mississauga Leopards versus Trois-Rivieres Black 13s and Guelph Prowlers versus Vaughan Sabre-Tooth Cats. |

Sunday, August 11th, 2041: Another season has come to pass and "to the winners go the spoils" -- the lucky ones will be headed for the playoffs in a few days and a chance to win the CBL Double A title in the Round 3. The envious losers, however, will suffer a long and somber offseason, wondering where it all went wrong and trying to figure out how to do it right. |
 | Fleury Batters Saguenay Big Time
Saturday, August 10th, 2041: Today at Ballpark of Saguenay, Vincent Fleury led the Loyalists to a 19-4 triumph over the Saguenay Gyros. He colleced 5 hits in 6 at-bats to spark his club in the victory.
Vincent Fleury walked in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.
Fleury is currently batting .276 with 7 home runs and 42 RBIs. |
